The short version: you see your child in their story, free, before you pay a cent.
Most "personalized" books swap in your child's name and face, then run the same story every other child gets. Ours writes a story that could only be about your child — built from who they actually are: the thing they love, the fear they're working through, a moment they were proud of. The plot itself is personal, not just the pictures.
Genuinely unique. You tell us a few real things about your child, and the story is written around them — their trait drives how the adventure resolves, their real fear shows up as the obstacle they overcome, their proud moment echoes at the climax. Two children never get the same book.
We use modern tools to make a one-of-a-kind story and art possible at a price that isn't hundreds of dollars — and every book is built to a real craft standard, not mass-produced. We don't hide the method or pretend it's all hand-drawn; our edge is that the finished book genuinely reads like it was written for your child, because it was. You'll see exactly what you're getting before you buy.
Your choice: upload a photo and we create an illustrated likeness, or build a character in our designer — skin tone, hair texture, eyes, glasses, freckles, and more. Either way, the same character stays consistent across every page.
We only use a photo to create the illustration, and we don't keep a copy of their face on file afterward. The details you give us (name, age, favorites) come from you, the adult, and are used to make the book and — if you opt in — to remind you before the next occasion. You can ask us to delete your information any time.
No. We'll email you about your order, and that's it — unless you choose to opt in for a single reminder before your child's next birthday or occasion. One reminder, no spam, unsubscribe any time.
Yes. You get a free preview of your child in the story before you pay, so you can see both the likeness and that the plot is truly about them. If it doesn't feel like your child, you haven't spent a cent.
Because every book is uniquely made for your child, we can't take change-of-mind returns — which is exactly why we let you preview every page before you pay. If something isn't right in the preview, tell us and we'll revise it before anything prints.
We stand behind every book: preview it free before you pay, and if it arrives damaged, misprinted, or wrong, we'll replace it or refund you. "Love it, or we'll make it right" — with "make it right" meaning exactly that.
A premium hardcover, 8.5 inches square, 32 pages, printed on thick color pages with a matte cover and a proper bound spine. It's made to be kept and re-read, not tossed after a week.
Written to the child's age — simple sentences for the littlest ones (ages 2–5), richer chapter-book-style language for older kids (up to about 10). Great for birthdays, a new sibling, grandparents, or any child who lights up seeing themselves as the hero.
Plan on roughly 2.5–3 weeks door-to-door on standard shipping (a few days to make the hardcover, then transit), and faster shipping is available. For gifts, we publish an "order by" date for each occasion so you know the deadline before you buy.
We'll make it right — a free replacement or full refund for any book that arrives damaged, defective, misprinted, or incorrect, reported within 30 days with a photo.
If a delivery hasn't shown up within 40 days of your order, we'll refund it in full. Shipping estimates aren't guaranteed, so this is your backstop.
Yes. You can ship directly to the child, or to yourself to give in person — just enter their address at checkout. Each recipient is its own order, so if you're buying for several grandchildren, that's one book per child.
Absolutely — each book is built separately for each child, so every one is truly theirs. And because we save your child's details, ordering their next book later takes about two minutes.
